Centier Bank and its associates were recently honored by the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership® (INHP) for participating in their Living the Dream service project, a chance to give a mini home makeover to a deserving family that completed INHP’s homeowner preparation program and now owns a home. Twenty associates received the Outstanding Volunteer Group Award at the organization’s 2017Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast.

Along with the group honor, two Centier associates Lin Koontz, Executive Administrative Assistant, and Mary Jo Kennely, Vice President and Group Manager, were each honored with Certificates of Appreciation for their dedication, support and volunteer service.

Kennely, a three-year advisory board member of the INHP, knows the impact the organization continues to make in Indianapolis.

“INHP does more than just give loans and mortgages, we take a holistic approach to homeownership through offering financial literacy, assistance, and stability,” explained Kennely. “I am proud to be a part of a bank that encourages its associates to get involved and improve the vibrancy of their communities.”

INHP is a nonprofit organization that empowers working individuals and families with low and moderate incomes to become and remain successful homeowners. Their education, advising, and lending programs have supported more than 32,000 people since 1988.

“This past September, Centier Bank volunteers worked hard by painting walls, assembling furniture, creating themed kids rooms and landscaping the outdoor areas,” said Genevieve Gaines, director of advancement at INHP. “We thank Centier for their time, and most importantly, their support of families who commit themselves to be long-term, successful homeowners, which contributes to the vibrancy of our neighborhoods.”
