Troy Gilstorf, managing partner of BKD’s Indianapolis and Bloomington offices, is pleased to announce the transfer of Satoko Suzuki from BKD’s Chicago office as a senior manager.

Suzuki has 14 years of accounting and taxation experience with a strong focus in international and Japanese services.  She has lectured on various inbound international tax subjects, including U.S. source withholding tax compliance, foreign expatriate tax returns and tax treaty interpretation.

Before joining BKD, Suzuki spent nine years with a regional firm working with U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-owned businesses and overseeing the preparation of individual income tax returns, federal and state corporate income tax returns and tax consulting.  Her experience also includes tax provision, FIN 48 studies, transfer pricing, research and development and cost segregation studies, restructuring, multistate taxation and representation before various tax authorities.

Suzuki is a graduate of Niigata University, Nishi-ku, Niigata, Japan, with a B.A. degree in economics, and a graduate of Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, with an M.S. degree in taxation.  She is fluent in Japanese and English.
