As of June 1, 2020, BKD National Manufacturing & Distribution Group will change its name to BKD National Commercial Services Group. The name change was carefully reviewed and approved by BKD CPAs & Advisors’ firm leadership.

This shift facilitates BKD’s efforts to better serve client needs and further leverage resources. In addition, this industry group has been deepening its capabilities to deliver a broad range of services to industries outside of the traditional M&D industry.

BKD National Commercial Services Group will primarily have four formal subniches under its reporting structure: traditional M&D, food and agriculture, transportation and retail. Technology and software, energy and telecommunications already have separate service line leaders and will be tracked as separate subniches alongside BKD National Commercial Services Group.

“I am excited about the opportunities this creates by better aligning our internal teams and becoming even more laser-focused in the group’s strategies toward continuing to build into the future. This also allows us to gain more insights into the True Expertise we share across the firm,” said National Industry Partner John Mather.

This change will allow the BKD National Commercial Services Group to better showcase its expertise in the market. In addition, the group sees this as an opportunity to raise both internal and external market awareness of the services it provides and the types of clients the group serves. This heightened awareness of BKD’s capabilities will be invaluable for identifying and encouraging cross-serving opportunities.
