Troy Gilstorf, managing partner of BKD’s Indianapolis office, announces the promotion of Kyle Fessler, Laura Haffner, Kathleen Maloof and Kirk Neibuhr to manager, and Justin Proctor to senior managing consultant. These individuals deliver unmatched client service, embrace change and show dedication to the firm’s values.
Career paths at BKD are divided into levels, and each position is defined by its own set of duties, responsibilities and competencies requiring cumulative and advanced degrees of education, training and experience. Personnel also must demonstrate their leadership abilities as coaches and mentors, as well as taking an active role in their community. Individuals become candidates for promotion after successfully mastering their existing level.

Fessler has worked with public and closely held financial institutions and is a member of BKD National Financial Services Group. He is a 2012 graduate of Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana, with a B.S. degree in accounting and a 2013 graduate with an M.P.Acc. degree.
Haffner provides services to the manufacturing and distribution sector, focusing on audit and accounting services. She is a 2012 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, with a B.S. degree in accounting and a 2013 graduate with an M.B.A. degree in accounting.
Maloof provides a range of accounting, audit and consulting services for BKD National Manufacturing & Distribution Group. She is a 2013 graduate of University of Dayton, Ohio, with a B.S. degree in accounting and a minor in finance.
Neibuhr is a member of BKD National Manufacturing & Distribution Group and provides assurance and accounting services for private and public companies. He is a 2013 graduate of Butler University with a B.S. degree in accounting.
Proctor is a member of BKD National Financial Services Group and has provided external and internal audit services for financial institutions. He is a 2008 graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and minor in risk management and insurance and a 2010 graduate with a master of accounting degree.
