MERRILLVILLE – Michael E. Schrage, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Centier Bank is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Janet Gary to Officer of the bank.
Having joined Centier Bank in 2005 in Deposit Operations, Gary moved out of state two years later to begin another career path in education. While she enjoyed working with students in Arizona, Northwest Indiana called her back home in 2011 rejoining the Centier Family in the Loan Operations department, where she’s been ever since.
The Northwest Indiana native said being promoted to bank officer is something that makes her beam with pride.
“Having a servant heart is something I am proud of, and I genuinely care for the wellbeing of others,” she shared. “My hope in my role is to be a mentor and leader for my team, reflecting patience, kindness, sincerity, and empathy to continue to provide the well-known Centier experience the community and clients have come to depend on.”
A proud alumna of Bishop Noll High School and University of Illinois, she is also a volunteer at Phil’s Friends nonprofit organization and resides in Merrillville with her husband, Edward.
