STAR Bank is pleased to announce Brian Avery has been promoted to the role of chief technology officer. Avery has been with the organization for the past 10 years, beginning as Software Lab Engineer and most recently serving as vice president of Technology and Digital Strategy.
In this role, he will drive planning and implementation of STAR’s technology stack and digital strategy as the organization continues to push the envelope with its digital banking platform. His oversight of technology operations and integration will expand to also include payment services and information security.
Avery has more than 18 years of experience implementing and managing technology. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University Fort Wayne and is also a graduate of the GSB Bank Technology Management School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and STAR’s Leadership Development program.
