Magnificently unique, convenient, and affordable event and conference venue now available for rent for those outside the Girl Scout organization

Girl Scouts of Central Indiana is announcing the unveiling of the Founders Lodge Event and Conference Center, a magnificently unique venue the Girl Scouts are now proud to share with the central Indiana community. The Founders Lodge, built in 2016 and originally known as the Leadership and Learning Center, is situated on 140-acres of Girl Scout campus that is home to Camp Dellwood, a Math and Science Center, a makerspace and acres of beautiful Girl Scout property located on the west side of Indianapolis.

“This incredible building was designed to complement the rustic landscape of our more than 140-acre wooded campus right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis,” Girl Scouts of Central Indiana CEO Danielle Shockey said. “It’s the perfect location for people looking to host unique events in a beautiful setting. We have the multiple spaces that could be used to host corporate retreats, staff meetings, parties, and celebrations, along with options to engage in Girl Scout adventures like archery, hikes, and riflery.”

The 37,000 square foot Founders Lodge building will continue to house the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana staff headquarters as well as serve as a hub of Girl Scout activity and learning for girls and adults, while also welcoming those from the greater Indianapolis community to rent our spaces while experiencing a little bit of the Girl Scout spirit.

“Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and with many of our staff working directly in the communities we serve, we realized as an organization that we had the room and resources to provide a unique opportunity for other businesses and individuals looking for an innovative event and conference center,” Shockey said. “The revenue generated from the Founders Lodge Event and Conference Center will support our ability to provide quality Girl Scout experiences across 45 Indiana counties and to 26,000 Girl Scouts and volunteers.”

WeAreGirl Scouts
Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
