SUMMARY:Respiratory Protection Train the Trainer Course
DESCRIPTION:Not recognizing the applicability of this broadly applying and complex regulation is why the Respiratory Protection Standard (1910.134) is one of the most frequently cited standards following workplace OSHA inspections. Adding a measure of confusion\, COVID-19’s global pandemic has necessitated unprecedented levels of attention to disease transmission prevention\, facial coverings and respiratory protection. OSHA has issued directives for all business sectors and a COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (regulation) for the Healthcare sector. \nThis training will help you answer the following questions:\n\nHow do I know which chemical hazards pose danger?\nWhen does OSHA mandate respiratory protection?\nDoes OSHA require employers to identify and evaluate these airborne hazards?\nWhat is “fit testing” and how does that work?\nIs specific training required?\nWhat are the medical implications and requirements?\n\nPresented by: \n \nBill Simkins\, CSP\, W.E. Simkins & Associates \nOSHA requires employers to develop and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite-specific procedures and elements for required respirator use. Even when respirators are worn voluntarily certain program elements may be required to prevent potential hazards associated with the use of the respirator. \nMany employers are unaware that OSHA requires the Respirator Program to be administered by a “suitably trained program administrator”. \nWho Should Attend?\n\n\nEmployers who need training for their Respirator Program Administrators and Trainers\nThose seeking additional clarity on the OSHA regulation’s applicability to their workplace\nEmployers with an established program who would benefit from a program gap review\nProcess operations employees\nMaintenance employees\nSanitation employees\nSite engineers\nHuman Resources leaders\n\n\nView Agenda \nRegistration Information\nIndiana Chamber member price: $449 \nList price: $549 \nRegisterGroup Discount Available\nSend two or more and receive a 20% discount. Use the promo code GROUP20 at checkout to save. \nContinuing Education\nThis workshop awards 1 credit toward your Safety Compliance Specialist Certificate. Not enrolled?  Click here to learn more! \nLodging Information\nHyatt Regency Indianapolis \nReserve your hotel room at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis online. The Hyatt is conveniently located in the same building as the Indiana Chamber Conference Center. SUMMARY:27th Annual Employment Law Webinar Series: Employee Discipline for Conduct Outside of Work
DESCRIPTION:Program Information\nWith the rise of social media\, employee conduct outside of work is more visible than ever. As several high-profile examples have shown\, employee conduct can be traced back to and negatively affect employers\, whether or not the employee was actively representing his employer. This presentation will help employers understand why what employees do outside the workplace matters and how it can create liability for employers; the legal protections that exist for employee conduct outside of work\, including but not limited to alcohol and/or drug use\, political activity\, and social media activity; practical considerations for how to appropriately address outside conduct without negatively impacting employee morale or running afoul of federal and state laws\, including anti-discrimination or and labor laws; and risks associated with\, and best practices for\, disciplining employees for conduct outside the workplace. \nThis webinar is one of a four-part series that includes: \nMarch 18 – Non-Competition Agreements: General Overview\, Recent Case Law Developments and Other Emerging Issues \nMarch 25 — COVID-19 Vaccinations in the Workplace \nApril 1 – Employee Discipline for Conduct Outside of Work \nApril 8 – Labor Law Under the Biden Administration — Fasten Your Seatbelts\, It’s Going To Be A Bumpy Ride! \nRegistration Information\nIndiana Chamber member (single session): $99 \nList price (single session): $125 \nIndiana Chamber member (full series): $389 \nList price (full series): $499 \nRegister for this session onlyRegister for full seriesPresented by: \n \n \nGregory P.
