(INDIANAPOLIS) -- The Indiana Chamber is making it simple for Hoosier businesses to stay in compliance with new Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) rules, which take effect March 8, 2013.
Beginning at that time, all employers covered under FMLA are required to display the revised FMLA guidelines for their employees. The Indiana Chamber's poster set containing the appropriate updated FMLA information is now available for order.
The mandatory FMLA poster is required for all covered employers, which means those with 50 or more employees. Public agencies as well as public and private elementary and secondary schools are also covered regardless of the number of employees.
The changes, according to the U.S. Department of Labor: "The first expansion provides families of eligible veterans with the same job-protected FMLA leave currently available to families of military service members and also enables more military families to take leave for activities that arise when a service member is deployed. The second expansion modifies existing rules so that airline personnel and flight crews are better able to utilize FMLA protections."
The FMLA poster set is part of a service offered by the Indiana Chamber. All poster sets can be shipped whenever a new set is ordered or they can be shipped through the Indiana Chamber's poster subscription service. With this service, new poster sets will be sent only when mandatory changes are made. The service itself costs nothing extra; the only cost is the price of the poster set, which is then shipped along with an invoice. Those interested can ask about the subscription service when ordering.
Poster sets are $45 each, plus shipping and tax. Indiana Chamber members receive 25% off.
Our poster sets can be ordered on the Indiana Chamber web site (www.indianachamber.com/posters) or by calling (800) 824-6885.
