(INDIANAPOLIS) -- Chances are many businesses around the state don't know the ins and outs of every environmental permitting practice put into place by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. What's more, complying with these regulations can be challenging and costly -- especially if they aren't followed correctly.
One step that a company can take to protect itself is to attend the Environmental Permitting Conference June 14-15 at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce conference center in downtown Indianapolis.
The conference will run each day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is presented by EHS Technology Group. New for the conference this year are water and air regulator panels, which will offer an opportunity to get face-to-face with IDEM representatives. IDEM Commissioner Tom Easterly will join water regulators for a panel on June 14. An air regulator panel will take place on June 15. Two sections on hazardous waste management have also been added on June 14.
Cost is $599 for Indiana Chamber members; $629 for non-members. For Chamber members attending only one day of the conference, the cost is $309; for non-members attending only one day, the cost is $329. Any company sending one employee can send a second for half price.
Continuous education credit is available for attending this conference.
