Indiana's Largest Workplace Health and Safety Conference in March

(INDIANAPOLIS) -- Indiana's largest event promoting the importance of workplace safety returns March 12-14 at the Indianapolis Marriott East. The 2012 Indiana Safety and Health Conference & Expo features professional safety consultants and experts teaching a comprehensive safety refresher.

Last year more than 800 turned out for the three-day training, which has a pre-conference workshop on day one. On tap for 2012: over 50 educational sessions to choose from; a safety expo with more than 70 exhibitors on March 13; and the Governor's Workplace Safety Awards luncheon on March 14, honoring organizations that have made safety and health a top priority.

An added bonus for attendees is that such a large gathering of those in the safety industry makes it ideal to network and exchange ideas.

This year's conference theme is "Safety Gets the Checkered Flag" and is highlighted by keynote speakers Mike King, voice of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway radio network, and Indy Car driver and analyst Davey Hamilton.

Continuing education is available and includes, but is not limited to, CHMM, CIH, CNE, CAIH, wastewater credit and general CEUs.

The 2012 Indiana Safety and Health Conference & Expo is presented by the Central Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the Indiana Chamber, in partnership with INSafe and the Indiana Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Comcast Business Class Metro Ethernet is the title sponsor.

A variety of registration options are available; cost for the entire three-day event is $448. For more information or to register, go to http://www.insafetyconf.com.

Additional event sponsors include CavCom, Inc.; Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center; Mussett, Nicholas + Associates, Inc.; Nucor Steel Indiana; 3M; Trinity Safety Group; U.S. Safety Depot; Vestil Manufacturing; AirFeet Insoles; August Mack Environmental, Inc.; Columbia Southern University; Conney Safety Products, LLC/Mettam Safety; Franciscan WorkingWell; Indiana University; Magid Glove & Safety; OrthoIndy; RMS-Safety; and Summit Contracting, LLC.
