(INDIANAPOLIS) -- The Indiana State Council of SHRM has named two veteran HR professionals to leadership roles for the organization.

Angie Brawdy, SPHR has been appointed as the State Council Director for 2012-2013.  Ms. Brawdy has served as a volunteer at both the local and state level of SHRM.  She began her involvement with the Evansville Area Human Resource Association (EHRA) as a Compensation Committee member and then took over the Director of Compensation Survey role.  She then moved into the Director of Professional Development role, then President-Elect, and finally President.  She is also a member of the Youth First HR Committee.  Ms. Brawdy resides in Evansville where she currently works as the Manager, Compensation Administration for Springleaf Financial Services. 

Pam Goedde, SPHR, has been selected to serve as the Conference Chair for the 2012 HR Indiana Conference, to be held August 27-29, 2012 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indiananpolis.  Ms. Goedde holds a BA from Hanover College and an MPA from Indiana State University. She has worked in the Human Resources (HR) field for over 30 years.  Ms. Goedde's previous volunteer experience includes service on the Board of the Evansville Area Human Resource Association (EHRA) for 18 years including two years as President.   She currently co-teaches the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) certification course and Fundamentals of Human Resources Management at the University of Southern Indiana. She has served on the Indiana SHRM Conference committee for 17 years. She is the owner of Goedde Consulting, LLC and co-owner of Human Element, Inc.

The Indiana State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management consists of 17 chapters throughout Indiana. Over 1200 members from all chapters participated in the 2011 annual conference, held August 29-31, in Indianapolis.
