(INDIANAPOLIS) - Online webinars offered by the Indiana Chamber will provide employers important training opportunities and business information from the comforts of their own desk. This series will allow Hoosier companies to gain essential knowledge about hot topics and the latest compliance changes through one-hour online sessions.
The webinar series will debut with four seminars in July and August:
- Financing Opportunities: How Your Small Business Can Benefit from Provisions in the Stimulus Package, July 15, 10-11 a.m. EDT. Presented by Ice Miller, this webinar will provide information about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and applying for loans.
- COBRA Compliance Webinar, July 23, 10-11 a.m. EDT. Attendees will learn the basic principles of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) as well as information about a temporary COBRA subsidy provided under the federal stimulus act. This webinar is presented by Ice Miller.
- The Top Five Risks for Employers in an Economic Downturn Webinar, July 29, 9-10 a.m. EDT. A Frost Brown Todd attorney will discuss downsizing, benefits, fair pay, leave and accommodations in the workplace for employees with disabilities.
- HIPAA Update Webinar, August 19, 10-11 a.m. EDT. The stimulus package put into place the Health Information Technology Economic and Clinical Health Act, which made a number of changes to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). An Ice Miller attorney will provide information to keep employers in compliance.
