(INDIANAPOLIS) -- H. Max Kelln has joined the environmental group at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP. As an associate, he will practice from the firm's downtown Indianapolis office.

At Faegre Baker Daniels, Kelln will represent clients in brownfields matters, environmental litigation and environmental permitting. His focus will be on advising businesses on the environmental aspects of transactions, including conducting environmental due diligence and negotiating contract provisions in light of identified risk. In addition, he provides environmental counseling regarding health, safety and regulatory issues to manufacturing facilities and helps businesses develop environmental policies. Kelln also represents businesses facing alleged environmental violations in state and federal administrative proceedings.

Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Kelln was an associate in the environmental group at Sidley Austin in Chicago, where, among other matters, he acted as the primary environmental liason for Chicago's bid for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. While in Chicago, he was a member of the Young Professional's Board for the Lawyer's Committee for Better Housing and of the Illinois Bar Association's Standing Committee on Professional Conduct.

Kelln received his law degree summa cum laude from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2007 and clerked for the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission while in law school. He earned his bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Ripon College in 2004. Kelln is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association's Standing Committee on Professional Conduct and the Indiana University McKinney School of Law's Alumni Board.
