(INDIANAPOLIS) — In what must be one of the most timely presentations ever for the Economic Club of Indiana, Charles L. Evans, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago president and CEO, will be the featured speaker at the group’s November 21 luncheon. Evans presentation is entitled “Discussion on the Current Economy."
Evans became the ninth president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in September 2007. He also serves on the Federal Open Market Committee, the Federal Reserve System’s most important monetary policymaking body. The Federal Reserve plays a vital role in helping to stabilize the current economy, and Evans serves as one of those key decision-makers. His research has been published in the Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review and Journal of Monetary Economics.
The Economic Club luncheon runs from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.
