(INDIANAPOLIS) -- Hoosier companies can receive the latest information on employment law guidelines at an Indiana Chamber of Commerce seminar April 16. Employment law is a broad topic encompassing many different issues such as age or race discrimination, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and social media involvement.

The Indiana Chamber's 19th Annual Employment Law Seminar runs from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the organization's conference center in downtown Indianapolis at 115 W. Washington Street, suite 850S. The seminar is presented by Faegre Baker Daniels, whose attorneys have authored each edition of the Indiana Chamber's Employment Law Handbook since 1994.

On the agenda: recent developments under both the National Labor Relations Board and FMLA, handling U.S. Department of Labor audits, potential impacts of the comprehensive immigration reform, steps to be taking in regards to the health care reform and the essentials of background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Cost is $299 per person with the Indiana Chamber member discount and $329 for non-members. A special discount of buy one registration, get a second for half off is also available. Lunch will be provided.
