Chamber Offers OSHA Compliance Courses August 21-24

(INDIANAPOLIS) -- Courses offered in August by the Indiana Chamber will help companies stay compliant with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. The OSHA 10-Hour Voluntary Compliance Course and OSHA 30-Hour Voluntary Compliance Course will be held August 21-24. Participants in the 10-hour course need only attend August 21-22.

Those who complete either class will receive quality training from an OSHA-approved instructor, a course certification card from the U.S. Department of Labor-OSHA and an easy-to-follow 400-page manual to take with them.

Both courses are presented by Wilder Allen, president of Safety Management Corporation, who has 37 years of professional safety experience and is a former IOSHA compliance officer and trainer.

Event details include:

  • 10-Hour OSHA Voluntary Compliance Course for General Industry, August 21-22 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center at 115 W. Washington St., Suite 850S in downtown Indianapolis, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one; 7:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on day two. This course is an overview of the most important and significant OSHA standards and topics. This program counts for two credits toward your Safety Compliance Specialist Certificate. Cost: $599.
  • 30-Hour OSHA Voluntary Compliance Course for General Industry, August 21-24 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center at 115 W. Washington St., Suite 850S in downtown Indianapolis, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one; 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on days two and three; and 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on day four. The 30-Hour Voluntary Compliance Course is designed to increase workplace safety awareness and compliance by providing expert instruction on OSHA codes and standards. This program counts for four credits toward a Safety Compliance Specialist Certificate. Attendees will receive a copy of the General Industry (1910) Code of Federal Regulations, a $50 value. Cost: $899.
