(INDIANAPOLIS) -- The Indiana Chamber will offer courses in June to update employers on Family Medical and Leave Act (FMLA) changes and the latest in environmental permitting for water and air.
Event details include:
- Fundamentals of FMLA, June 10 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center at 115 W. Washington St., Suite 850S in downtown Indianapolis, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The first change in 13 years to the FMLA went into effect this year. This course will address the latest FMLA regulations, new military leave rules and special issues. The conference is presented by Ogletree Deakins. Cost: Indiana Chamber members, $199; non-members, $229.
- Advanced FMLA, June 11 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center at 115 W. Washington St., Suite 850S in downtown Indianapolis, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This course will provide more in-depth information about changes to FMLA regulations. Presented by Ogletree Deakins, topics will include what to do when an employee is on leave, curbing abuse to the system and an interactive session with real-world cases. Cost: Indiana Chamber members, $299; non-members, $329. Cost for both Fundamentals and Advanced FMLA: Indiana Chamber members, $398; non-members, $458.
- Environmental Permitting, June 23-24 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center at 115 W. Washington St., Suite 850S in downtown Indianapolis, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 23 and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 24. The first day of the conference will cover water permitting, including the system, the process, applicable standards and new state and federal developments with water pollution. The second day will focus on the same issues with air permitting and air pollution. The conference is presented by EHS Technology Group and Bingham McHale LLP. Cost for both days: Indiana Chamber members, $599; non-members, $629. One day cost: Indiana Chamber members, $309; non-members $329.
