Cam Carter

Vice President, Economic Development, Small Business Policy and Federal Relations

Cam joined the Chamber in January 2007.  He brings a wealth of experience in business, economic development, marketing and public affairs. 

Previously, he served in Washington, DC as communications director for U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Indianapolis) and held senior management positions with Hudson Institute and the international advertising and public relations firm, Publicis.  In 1999, he started his own strategic business consulting firm, Carter Communications Group.  In July 2003, Cam became president and CEO of Techpoint after having been an architect of the merger that formed the technology trade group in December 2002. 

Cam received a bachelor's of science in public affairs from Indiana University in 1989.
