Nomination and Selection Criteria

Nominations are currently being sought for the Ogletree Deakins/HR Dimensions Human Resources Professional of the Year.

Eligibility: The award is open to all Human Resources practitioners who are employed full-time in the Human Resources profession within the State of Indiana.

Requirements: Consideration will be given to individuals of high moral and ethical standing who have made significant contributions to their organization over the past year in the Human Resources function. Such HR professionals should have demonstrated the value of the HR function within the organization through implementation of best practices, organization design and effectiveness, and alignment and accomplishment of the strategic direction of the organization. The nominees should have a proven track record of giving back to the community and the HR profession.

Nomination Process: Nominations can be by self-nomination, peer, subordinate, supervisor or other. However, all nominations must be accompanied by a sponsorship letter from an appropriate officer of the organization for which the nominee is employed.

Nomination and Selection Guidelines: Nominations should include a detailed description of the accomplishments of the individual being nominated. The content of the nomination package should include (but is not limited to):

• A detailed narrative description of the reasons why the individual is being nominated.
• An explanation of the nominee’s significant contribution to his/her organization, including demonstrated quantitative or empirical data of the accomplishments and their impact on the strategic initiatives of the organization or unit.
• A complete list of all community and/or HR profession service.
• An updated detailed CV or resume (optional).
• A complete list of all publications and significant speaking engagements (optional).
