Cam Carter
Vice President, Economic Development and Small Business Policy

Cam joined the Chamber in January 2007. He brings a wealth of experience in business development, marketing and public affairs.

Previously, he served in Washington, DC as communications director for U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Indianapolis) and held senior management positions with Hudson Institute and the international advertising and public relations firm, Publicis. In 1999, he started his own communications consulting and strategic planning firm, Carter Communications Group. Cam became president and CEO of Techpoint in July 2003 after having been an architect of the merger that formed the technology trade group in December 2002.

Cam received a bachelor’s of science in public affairs from Indiana University.
